Burmese Masters
MY Burma - the only painting and antique gallery owned by a Burmese, is proud to present the five renown Burmese artists - Min Wae Aung, Pan Gyi Soe Moe, Maung Maung Hla Myint, Win Pe Myint and Kyee Myintt Saw.
Showcasing their new works, Burmese Masters is set to display its finest at the SG Private Banking Gallery, Alliance Française de Singapour. Brought together for the first time by Myo Myo Thu, the Rangoon born lady owner of MY Burma, each artist’s creations follow a different and specific theme.
By establishing MY Burma in March 2004 in the heart of Hong Kong’s vibrant art district and in November 2004 in Singapore, Myo Myo has played a crucial role in popularising Burmese art.
Myanmar art fascinates because it is deeply rooted in a rich culture that has, to this day, been preserved from the impact of modernity. Its purity, apparent simplicity and rich colours easily touch the heart and soul. Myo Myo has established special relationships with the leading Burmese artists and with her frequent trips back to Rangoon, she has also discovered some promising new talents. Her objective is to feature some of the best to her audience in Hong Kong and Singapore.
